Ruifang District – Bitoujiao Scenic Area

After visiting for the second time Yehliu Geopark, we decided to have a look for more places along the coast, Yehliu being the most famous attarction we mostly pass by other amazing places and Bitou Cape Trail was one of them.

To go to Bitou Cape Trail, take Bus 1579B from Taipei City Hall bus station to National Museum of Marine Science and then take Bus 1811 to Bitoujiao (1h40).

Bitou Cape is one of the Three Capes of North Taiwan (Fugui Cape and Sandiao Cape being the others).

Starting at the Bitou Elementary School, you will find a paved path really well preserved.

The Bitou Cape Trail is on of the best spot to have great views of the East Sea coastal landscape

There is also a Lighthouse, but that wasn’t accessible because of the reconstruction and it’s still is today.

This trail became a really famous spot for international tourists thanks to the amazing views it provides and the possibility to do great « insta post pictures ». So during summer don’t expect to have a relaxing walk, it’s quit crowdy but it’s also because the trail is not that long and the path is quit narrow.

But it’s not really for a hiking and more a really great spot to enjoy amazing views of the coast.
