Jiantan Station (MRT red line)

The hotel was established in 1952.

The main building of the hotel is one of the world’s tallest Chinese classical buildings (87 meters high) and the tallest building in Taiwan from 1973 to 1981.

The Grand hotel was used by the President Chiang Kai shek to accomodate foreign ambassadors.
