To go to Erziping Trail, take Bus R5 from MRT jiantan Station to Yanming Shan bus Station and then Bus 108 Yanming Shan bus Station to Erziping.

Erziping Trail was the first trail we choose when we came to Yangmingshan National Park.

We started at the information center where we met a really nice man who explained the story of Erziping Butterflies.

We had detailed explanation about the evolution of a butterfly and the opportunity to see it all in real, discovering the different life steps : chrysalis, caterpillar and butterfly.

All the walk is through the same vegetation (which kind I don’t know, you can see it on the following pictures).

Like I said, in Yangmingshan National Park, there is really different hikings and this one has also it’s specific atmosphere.

During all the walk we didn’t saw anyone ! And it’s quit suprising because the trail is really easy and you see some many beautiful butterflies !

I would totally recommend this trail, but actually the trail you’re seeing on the pictures is maybe not exisitng anymore. The pictures are from 2013, and 4 years ago, in 2018, we wanted to do the trail again but we didn’t find the same trail. So maybe we didn’t looked enough and I hope because it’s really on of the best trails I’ve made in Taiwan.
